Reporting to the Operations Superintendent, the Operations Supervisor will be part of a team with responsibilities for all aspects of forest operations.? As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible to supervise logging, hauling and related operations and to ensure that production, quality, environmental and legal requirements are met in a safe and cost effective manner. The work will involve contract management, contractor supervision, liaison with government officials, negotiations and the coordination of operations with other departments.
The ideal candidate will be registered as an RPF or RFT with the ABCFP, or be eligible for registration, with several years of forestry or operations experience and a good understanding of applicable legislation and regulations in BC. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong interest in forest operations and excellent organization, communication and the desire to work with modern technology.
